Do you know a reason why I started to tolerate atheists?

I wouldn't say Dawkins and people of the Westboro Baptist church are on the same level of Jerk-ance. I agree, to people who take their faith seriously, comments made by atheists on here could seem rude. You will never get a true representation of atheists, we are such a mixed bunch. There are some rude, narrow minded people, and there are people like myself who have never been able to understand religion or follow it (believe me, I tried!). I tolerate people who can stand up for their views, or keep them to themselves. I don't tolerate people who happily push their beliefs on people, but then can't confidently explain why they themselves believe what they believe. This applies to their views on religion, politics, celebrities etc. If you can't defend your belief, I don't think you believe it yourself, so why should I?
