I saw in a cartoon some time back, if you feed a fish radioactive material, it will turn into a mutant fish. Although I do love my fish, 14 in all, I also would like to privilege them into having extraordinary traits. If this works, I could be looking at honors and bragging rights among friends and colleges. On the other hand, if this doesn't work out the way I desire, I could ultimately kill all of my fish and waste quite some money on the de-weaponized uranium I plan on purchasing. What do I do about congested ears?

My ears have been congested for several days. The first two days it was just at night I noticed it, then the past 3 days or so it has been all day and night, never going away. I have a Skill Octo. It has several different attachments that definitely help with getting into grooves, etc, but it still doesn't get tight corners, etc. I am on my second one in 5 months, so I'm not sure if it is the best on the market, but the attachments are really helpful! I got it at Lowe's and when my first one broke (one of the parts that hold the attachments on) they exchanged it with no problem! I don't know what to compare it to because I've only owned one sander, but I'd say it vibrates at a 5 or 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. Good luck!

Help! Advice needed urgently about my kois/goldfishes.?

I change 10 percent water of my 10,000lt garden koi pond last night and replace it with tetra treated water. This morning i found the fishes surfacing once in a while in longer time and gasping for air. I catched some to check and their gills and section of body are unusually red and they look sluggish as I know if you catch one it will try to jump much or wriggle out of the net. I also did some manual vacuuming last night where the vacuum siphoned the dirt but stirred also the muck at the bottom and I was thinking they are affected by it. I have no way of testing the water from ammonia/nitrate so I need to know any quick solution. Must I remove all the fishes and put in my indoor holding tank and replace some of the pond water? Honestly the pond is in a state of green algae infestation and it is almost a month old and never clarify at all since the beginning tho the water never smell. It is only this morning that the fishes seem like struggling. I would appreciate your quick advice as I don't want to lose some of the fishes we had that originally started from the indoor tank.If I transfer the fishes to the holding tank, how would I treat them?I am quite in the dark as why this is happening overnight? Thanks for any advice.

Many companies don't hire people with any kind of degree at all, haha. But seriously, the fact is, the more prestigious school you can get into, the easier it will be for you to get a job. Those ivy league guys have recruiters knocking down their doors to get to them. Go to the career sites for the big companies and find which schools they send recruiters too... and you'll definitely see mainly the most competitive schools listed. Now, you obviously won't be in this position if you get your degree online. I personally think when it comes to educating yourself you get what you put into it, so I applaud you for striving to better yourself, but just know that people who come from a more prestigious school will probably beat you to the jobs, unless you have more experience than them or something, but even then, a lot of the most lucrative entry level positions go straight to ivy leaguers. It's bull-shi-t but it's reality. The good news is (well for average people) employers are placing a much higher emphasis on experience than on the name attached to your degree. This doesn't really help though if you can't get an entry level job. If you want to know what I think, I think you're money is better spent at a regular college rather than online, because there still seems to be a certain stigma attached to online degrees even if they don't deserve it. Remember, if you plan on getting a good job, think about what the employer wants, even if you don't agree with their recruiting methods. Good luck to you.

I wouldn't say Dawkins and people of the Westboro Baptist church are on the same level of Jerk-ance. I agree, to people who take their faith seriously, comments made by atheists on here could seem rude. You will never get a true representation of atheists, we are such a mixed bunch. There are some rude, narrow minded people, and there are people like myself who have never been able to understand religion or follow it (believe me, I tried!). I tolerate people who can stand up for their views, or keep them to themselves. I don't tolerate people who happily push their beliefs on people, but then can't confidently explain why they themselves believe what they believe. This applies to their views on religion, politics, celebrities etc. If you can't defend your belief, I don't think you believe it yourself, so why should I?

I cry nearly every night I go 2 bed over everything he dragged me through & sometimes think of commiting suicide but as a Christian I know it's wrong otherwise I would. My friends think I need prof. help & have noticed my aloofness which is not at all like me but I can't help it. Also I can't leave home cause my parents do not want any of their children 2 leave. I have brothers in there 30's who still live at home & have nothing w/ college degrees. When I tell my parents this they say I won't know how 2 drive in a city or it's expensive,dangerous or how will I get my all my stuff 2 a city etc. which always dashes my hopes of getting away out of my sorrow. I work got to school & pay for all my stuff that I want or need. I'm an indpendent person & really want 2 get away... Please help me. Anyone have ne advice or help...I've hit rock bottom & really want to give up.

The very worst thing your mother does is always enabling him to be such a nasty vicious person. She MUST kick him out and keep him out, and never take him back. She really should get him into a juvenile facility, clearly she has no control over him at all and unless and until she does something drastic, he is going to be a danger to her and all of you and he could seriously injure her or worse. Someone has to make her see that and follow through. The only thing that can help him at this point is a military camp or a juvenile facility where people are trained to handle people like him.

Scratching chalkboards and running friction sounds annoying the brain...?

Chalkboards don’t bother me but friction sounds do...such as 2 cotton rubbing together, or more recently my nieces bought some candy and they were trying to open the packaging made from plastic foil kinda stuff...uhhhhh hu hu ehhh! lol Stuff like this has bothered me before but I would forget about it, but for some reason its sticking in my head and I feel pretty irritated. I'm just curious if anyone can relate and if there is a way to overcome the sound of these annoyances completely. While working on my PhD in statistics, a PhD paleotologist was asking me about hierarchical cluster ysis as a method of clifying animals. I asked what their current method of determination was, and was very disillusioned when he said "educated guess". So basically you have "scientists" talking about evolution being fact based off of the summation of educated guesses. In the science that I do, I have tightly controlled experiments and still only talk about the probability of something being true. Now understand that I do not support creationism being taught in science as it is in no way falsifiable. What I am wondering, however, is why these people are claiming to be scientists, when they do not act in accordance with my understanding of science and the scientific method.

How do *you* set and enforce limits for kids of different ages

I have 4 kids and I do set different limits for each. My oldest gets more priviledges and biger consequences for bad behavior than my younger ones do. I often hear from my kids "that not fair" I say when your older you will get the same priviledges and punishment so dont rush it. I think its unfair to try to punish them all the same since the older one knows more what shes doing wrong (since Ive told her a million times :)) you should do what feels best for your family since noone knows your kids better than you do.

Why is high school SO superficial?

i know this question has been asked millions of times before, but i really wanted a good answer.....I am a freshman in high school, and its been 4 weeks and i already somewhat hate it. I dont hate the actual school itself, just the way people behave and the lame expectations that are put to stand. i am talking about cheerleaders, football players, and there are so many more superficial roles that "they" set up for us to fill. They expect all of us to LOVE sports, which i find totally pointless and a waste of valuable time. They also expect us to come to all of the games and support our school soooooooooooooooooo much! I mean come on, it is like they think high school is so wonderful, and the people are so friendly and loving. screw that the reality is, that it is the oppisite way, and high school is all a dream, or to be frank a nightmare! To me i am absolutly shocked by the bahaviors, and just flat out way MANY high schoolers act, and just high school in general is so fake. JUST a dream. The only thing i like about school is the cles, and pretty much the only reason i am going there is to get an education. To top it off i dont have any friends either, its not me, its them. There are soooo many groups that are set up, happy, preppy, stupid, cool, cellphones, omg, huhh, ewww, lame, dumb.................all of which are terms i am tired of hearing coming out of the mouths of so many teens. i am my own person kind, caring, unique, different, and i have so many more qualities, yet i do not even have one respectable friend, and it has been a month. Yes I can say that he does have some interest in you. I think it is that you two havent hung out together in a long time thats why you're nervous. In my 10 g platy aquarium I've been using distilled water from the water cooler, is this wrong? Should I be using just regular tap water? So I wake up at 8:45 in the morning and my mom drives me to my doctor's appointment at 10. That takes 40 minutes. Afterwords my mom takes me to the grocery store at 11 to get food for dinner. She says she's picking up a couple things. I said I'll just stay in the car and sleep because I was tired from going to bed at 2 in the morning. So I take a nap, listen to my ipod and I get bored. It begins to get very hot and I open my door. I check the time and it is 11:30, I think it's been kind of long but maybe she's just taking her time and she'll be out any second. 30 minutes go by and I feel kind of sick and very hungry. So I leave her a note saying "You took too long, I walked home because I am hungry." and I walk home. It takes 10 minutes to walk to my house from the store and on my way my mom pes me up and offers me a ride. I was very angry and I said "no I'm fine." So I finally make it home and my mom yells at me saying the note I left was very impersonal and my dad called me a dumb @%% and my brother was telling me I should leave. I went into the kitchen to make myself something to eat and my mom is very upset. She continues to ask me why I did that and that she would have never done that to her parents. She seemed embarred because she was telling me not to tell any of my friends about this but she turned around and said wait till Mike (My oldest brother living on his own) hears about this. I was honestly astonished at my mom's behavior. She continues to tell me she was flabbergasted and she yells at me some more. I tell her it wasn't anything personal, I was just hungry. My brother (He's 16 living with us) steps in and says "Do you care about anyone but yourself?" I didn't know what to say. My mom goes into the garage and my brother follows. I go in 5 minutes later and my mom is crying and I hear my brother as I open the door telling her that I don't care about anything. He intercepts me from trying to talk to my mom and starts making up stuff about me. My mom tells me she is going through menopause and she is very angry at me still and I tell her that it's ok. I have a set of three stones for a barbers razor and they are very old.They were my great grandfathers and back then I'm sure cost lots of money. Mine are Belgium stones. If yours look yellow they are oil stones. If not, water stones. They need to be soaked for at least two hours in warm water before using them.Don't use them dry as that will wear away your stone fast! If your flower boxes have large drainage holes, there may be too much of the water 'just' flowing by the roots and not enough moisture staying in the soil for the plant to absorb sufficient amounts. Amending the soil with peat moss or vermiculite will help keep some of the moisture in the soil available to the plant. Also sometimes lining just the BOTTOM of the boxes with plastic helps to keep more of the moisture in the soil, especially if the boxes are in the hot sun a good part of the day!

I will not tell anyone how old my baby was when he got off of his pacifier, lol.... However, he used to hear the garbage man come to get the garbage and look out the window to watch them. One day he started taking the paci out of his mouth and throwing it, so I told him if he did not stop I would give it to the garbage man. 1995 chevy astro any techs online??

Van has some electrical gremlins. ac not working from inside vehicle if i jump 12v to blower motor it works, if i jump 12v to the compressor the clutch engauges and it works. I want to byp the vehicle side of the ac system. My intent is to install two switches one to the blower and another to the compressor with inline fuses for protection. I plan on somehow incorperating the low pressure switch but dont want do damage anything. Depression recovery is more like peeling the layers of an onion. When one issue gets sorted out, the next one, more deeper unravels itself for you to address. I'm sorry I don't have any idea of how a person will be when he or she has recovered. I guess he or she will get back for keeps a lost happiness but only now, with a new insight. I am myself recovering from depression and I have many times thought I have got over it only to find some issues still left. It's more important in which direction you are heading than where you are at any moment. It's because as long as you are on the right track, sooner or later, you will reach your destination. However if you keep checking where you are, you will not be concentrating on the recovery process.

My male beta fish's water is cloudy...why?

I bought him yesterday and his water is already cloudy, I feed him 3-4 pellets twice a day. He's got rocks and a hammock. I didn't use any harsh chemicals on the tank, I rinsed it and let the water sit over night to neutralize the temperature. I also bought him a Tetra BettaSafe Kit, which came with fizz tabs which remove chlorine, chloramines, ammonia and heavy metals, I used one just before putting him in. The food I give him is TopFin Colour Enhancing Betta Bits. But the BettaSafe kit also came with food, I haven't used any of it yet though. So, why is his water cloudy? Also, if you have any tips for caring for him would be great! Thanks :)

I am going to court tomorrow and need help!!!!?

I asked a similar question to this but didn't get any real good answers. I am being sued for a credit card account that is from 5 or 6 years ago. I have not spoke or made payments since then. However, one day I was served papers out of the blue. I am being sued by Midland Funding LLC. My understanding of the law is that the SOL in NC is 3 or 4 years. The account was also $250 and I made payments, however, I was in college at the time and lost track of this bill and now all of a sudden, they want over $1600. I filed an answer stating that the SOL was up and that I had no idea who this attorney was because I have never spoken with anyone from this company. What do I need to have with me going to court? What questions do I need to ask? Also, what do they have to have to prove the debt valid? I am very worried about this because I am now a father of two and have more important things to worry about than a stupid debt from when I was young and careless. Thanks for the help!!

Spirits in my dream-dreams about rainbows constantly ?...?

Admittedly i have strange dreams and maybe once or twice i get similar dreams but that happens to everyone. four or five times now i have had the same dream. I am at school, in the same place (near the gates). This is where i used to meet my friend hollie and in my dream she walks up to me and we chat about stuff. we talk about different things in each dream though. As i turn around to get a full view of the school above the school and sort of over my head are what appear to be thousands of rainbows overlapping each and are just sitting in the sky over my head and the school building. My mum was hoovering my room today and i said i had that dream about hundreds of rainbows again. My mum is a very spiritual person, well, she likes medians and things like that and her father's spirit is always in the living room (he died many years before i was born). Anway i told her about the dream and she said maybe a spirit is trying to get through to you. I thought about it and didn't think it was too bad a theory. I tried searching on the interent but nothing on this kind of thing. The only information i get is that i'm in touch with spirits but i am not like that i do not have visions. i believe they are trying to get in touch with me. A little advice about IV breeding please??

OK, well recently i've been IV breeding Minuns for Speed and Sp. Atk but I also wouldn't mind some in Sp. Dep too. So far everything's going OK. I bred a Minun with a Ditto with a Modest nature and got a female (after lots of waiting and effort!) with a Modest nature, the 'Likes to run' characteristic, 30 IV's in speed and 29 in Sp. Atk (according to MetalKids IV calculator). But the thing is, now I'm a little confused as to where to go next... Should I keep the Minun I've been breeding in the Daycare but switch to a Ditto with a Sp. Def Nature (holding an Everstone), breed until I get a male Minun with strong IV's in Sp. Def and then breed the female with good Speed and Sp. Atk with the male that has good Sp. Atk until I get a Minun with all 3 good stats?? Grrr I can see how people get so frustrated over IV breeding- it sure is a lot of effort!!! If you guys could give me some guidance on this, I'd be very grateful! Thanks! :)
