Does the NL really need 4 first basemen?

When you have a guy like Pujols in the NL, you would think you would only want one more, two at the most. Fielder is a nice addition, but are Gonzalez and Howard really good additions to the team? Its not like you can even put them in later for defense, they arent as good as Pujols. Maybe Im missing something, but i thought the point of managing the allstar game was attempting to win.
