Yes I can say that he does have some interest in you. I think it is that you two havent hung out together in a long time thats why you're nervous. You should ask him to hang out the more you two are together the more comfortable you will become around him. Ask him to play catch with you or show you the "proper way to hold a bat"...that way you can get him to hold you or get very close to you. Ask him what he looks for in a girl. After you hang out a couple of times and you know he has no girl friend, ask him on a date or somthing. There is nothing wrong with a girl taking an initive. Just make sure it doesnt seem like you too pushy. Let him have his space as well.
