Why is high school SO superficial?

i know this question has been asked millions of times before, but i really wanted a good answer.....I am a freshman in high school, and its been 4 weeks and i already somewhat hate it. I dont hate the actual school itself, just the way people behave and the lame expectations that are put to stand. i am talking about cheerleaders, football players, and there are so many more superficial roles that "they" set up for us to fill. They expect all of us to LOVE sports, which i find totally pointless and a waste of valuable time. They also expect us to come to all of the games and support our school soooooooooooooooooo much! I mean come on, it is like they think high school is so wonderful, and the people are so friendly and loving. screw that the reality is, that it is the oppisite way, and high school is all a dream, or to be frank a nightmare! To me i am absolutly shocked by the bahaviors, and just flat out way MANY high schoolers act, and just high school in general is so fake. JUST a dream. The only thing i like about school is the cles, and pretty much the only reason i am going there is to get an education. To top it off i dont have any friends either, its not me, its them. There are soooo many groups that are set up, happy, preppy, stupid, cool, cellphones, omg, huhh, ewww, lame, dumb.................all of which are terms i am tired of hearing coming out of the mouths of so many teens. i am my own person kind, caring, unique, different, and i have so many more qualities, yet i do not even have one respectable friend, and it has been a month. Their normal is my outrageous. that is all i have to say for now. i am still viewing, hoping i will find someone with even one quality i appreciate in a human being not a wild hyena
